Well I didn't expect this to happen

You must be sick of me saying this by now, but, guess what? The idea for the twenty minute film has changed again. For the last week I worked developing a treatment based on the Dystopia idea and somehow it just doesn’t work. After a further discussion with my tutors I have come to the decision to do a new idea which is shown below.
Man tracking down wife who has been missing in a zombie outbreak. Cuts between radio chatter of army trying to look for him as he is the leader of their unit which is holed up in a base on an uninfected and remote island. Protagonist doesn’t talk. His helicopter crashed and he has to survive and find his wife, while gathering equipment, weapons, food and water to survive from one place to another. Shot mainly in doors, parts outside and the zombies are not seen rather are heard at points in the film. Frequently looks at photograph of wife, at one point he finds a laptop which still works and watches a video of his wife and he finds a voice recorder which has another conversation with protagonist. These are the only times you will hear the protagonist. Shot in rooms, sheds, outhouses, churches, garage etc. He finds a maser in the garage and fights a man to get his hands on a crossbow. In the end he arrives at a church and discovers his wife, as the sound of a helicopter can be heard, along with the radio chatter from his squad.
The sort of edge I’m going for and have been influenced by is the independent game The Long Dark. Have a look at the video below.

In other news, I have gained the interest of a young composer who at the moment is studying a degree. He is based in electronic music and I have used some of his work last year on the experimental film PROJECTION. He has kindly given me an example of his work for you to listen to.
